Description:

This hybrid exit-level studio course in which critical attention is directed toward the combined work of all of your senior level studios - how all of your work inter-relates and identifies your stance as an artist. A set of images and/or video of art work and a self-defined presentation to the class will be required of each student. Attention will be devoted to professional practices in fine arts and how to thrive as an artist overall. Each student will be expected to apply to exhibitions, residencies, jobs, grants, and some can apply to graduate programs. This hybrid class includes both in-person and virtual teaching methods. Virtual and in-person strategies will be given. Engaging asynchronous material and homework will be structured through Moodle. Critiques, sharing of work, artist lectures, materials refinement, and student presentations will be introduced through a combination of virtual and in-person approaches that build community and help strengthen the capstone senior thesis experience.
