Our current normal is ending. Something else will exist in this space. We will go on.Over the course of the semester, we will reflect on our own history as an institution. The places, the people and the work that has been the identity of CCA up to this point. An identity that we are a part of.How do we creative practitioners navigate into this next phase? How does art, design and creative practice exist in a city without the current anchor that we are familiar with?This class will explore our city and the creative landscape around us as well as the mechanisms that celebrate or stifle creative expression. These investigations will happen in the studio and importantly, in the city around us through field trips and focused expeditions into San Francisco’s public spaces, creative activities and defining our own community.
