Description:
This course is designed to support second-year students during their final semester of the MFA Writing program, primarily to aid in thesis preparation. It will provide a structure to address time management, deadlines, defense meetings, and presentations, as well as final revisions, copy-editing, and formatting. Additionally, the Thesis Course will lend moral support, provide perspective, and create a community as students navigate what can be a stressful process. While the purpose of the course is not necessarily to develop individual content within the thesis–that is still the purview of the Thesis Advisor and Thesis Reader–students can anticipate that the class will become familiar with their thesis projects. Most importantly this course will help students get the most out of all the hard work they've done over the past two years.
