Description:
An English class intended for students who need to improve their reading and writing skills before entering English I. It provides exercises and discussion centered on essays, literature, and art-related materials and supportive, individualized attention for students to work on their writing skills. For international students, tutoring is also available to improve oral communication skills in English. Students are placed in Writing Skills Workshop based on their performance on the English Placement Examination. Students may receive 3 units of Humanities and Sciences elective credit if this course is successfully passed, including passing the English Placement Examination in the course
