Description:
In Writing 2-EL: Seeing Language, we will seek to answer a fundamental question: How does language work? We will explore the role of form and meaning in our use of language, as well as the way people think and interact according to the cultural worldview their languages embody. Also to be considered are the origins of spoken language, the rich visual histories of written languages, and the ways language is structured to produce both poetry and prose. While all CCA students who qualify for Writing 2 are welcome, the particular needs of second-language writers will be addressed.
