CCA email accounts are hosted by Google. Your CCA email can be accessed at, your mobile device, or any email client. The text below provides detailed information about accessing and using your CCA email account.

Accessing Your Gmail

Using a Web Browser

Go to from any web browser, regardless of what device you are using. This will take you to the standard Gmail interface. It is also where you can perform administrative actions such as setting mail forwarding or vacation responders.

Using a Desktop Email Client

Tech Services strongly recommends using the Gmail web interface to access your email. However, you can still set up and access your Gmail using a desktop email client. (CCA Staff are required to use the Gmail web interface on CCA owned staff computers).

Using a Mobile App

You can download and use the Gmail application from supported Android and iOS devices. If you prefer to use a different mobile email application, you can still set up and access your Gmail from most mobile devices. Google Chat

Gmail includes Google Chat, a built-in chat service that you can use to send and receive instant messages with other students and colleagues. You can also chat with anyone outside of CCA who uses Google chat or other chat programs such as Yahoo! or AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).

Email Support

CCA provides all students, faculty, and staff with a college email account. We highly recommend that all members of the CCA community activate and use their account in order to receive important, college–wide announcements.

Activating Your Email Account

New students can activate their email account by visiting the Account Management Page. There, you will find links to activate your account and simultaneously enable your directory account, letting you log in to computers in CCA labs.

Faculty email accounts are created automatically. Once a faculty member has been officially hired by CCA, their email account is generated overnight. A letter containing login credentials and instructions is then sent to the mailing address on file for the faculty member.

Staff email accounts are also created automatically, and login credentials are given to new staff during the Technology Orientation.
