FEATURED ARTIST

Jonathan Kiefer is a writer, filmmaker, and CCA adjunct professor of film. Recently the screenwriter and co-producer of the 2020 indie feature drama Around the Sun, so far released in 24 countries, he’s an alumnus of SFFILM’s FilmHouse residency and the Reykjavík International Film Festival Talent Lab, as well as the maker of short films with festival screenings at Aesthetica, Boston Underground, Cinequest, and more. A staffer at San Francisco’s Roxie Theater and seasonal editorial manager for the Mill Valley Film Festival and DocLands, he has written about cinema and culture for publications including Film Comment, The New York Times, Screen Slate, and the Village Voice.
