“Mirando a las musarañas” (literally “staring at the shrews”) is an expression used in Spanish when someone is daydreaming. Somehow, these creatures have become a muse and an icon, but also a door to a limbo, as they require the real inhabited space to be a basis for the metaphor, the detachment from it and the transcendence that daydreaming allows. 

The project began as a multidisciplinary research work based around the themes of suspension. The pieces in the show create a new code - in their own language - for the cognitive process behind this link between absence and ideas.
