Event description
Throughout our lifetimes, we form communities because it provides a sense of belonging. They can be extremely delightful when we are a part of them, but how does it feel when we're othered?
The Students of Color Coalition presents OUT: a show that will highlight the experiences of people who've been historically outsiders or excluded. OUT will also focus on the word itself and its iterations like outsider, outlier, and outspoken. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience perspectives which have been prohibited by the mainstream. Not only will our stories address the systems that reject us, but will contribute to an ideal narrative that does not neglect us. Our existence is resistance.
