Translation: “No original only points of departure"

This event features collaborative presentations by first and second year graduate students in the Film Program, offering diverse responses to the concept of translation. The presentations will consider translation in its broadest definition: responding to and inspired by the Manifesto for Ultratranslation—living in multiple languages, translating from one's head or heart to filming, translating script to screen, while welcoming gaps and fissures. The presentations will be followed with a Q&A and discussion.
