Event description

Jenny Odell is an artist and writer born and raised in the Bay Area. She has been an artist in residence at Recology SF, the San Francisco Planning Department, and the Montalvo Arts Center. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and the Sydney Morning Herald. Odell is the author of the New York Times bestsellers How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy and Saving Time: Discovering a Life Beyond the Clock. She is a constant and involuntary birdwatcher.

Odell will engage in a reading from SAVING TIME: DISCOVERING A LIFE BEYOND THE CLOCK, followed by a Q&A.
