Zoom Preference During Registration Periods

During registration periods like Add/Drop, Priority Registration, and Open Registration, academic advisors experience a high volume of appointments. We encourage Zoom video appointments during these times for more guided assistance and instruction related to registration via Workday.

Zoom Etiquette Policy

Graduate Advising & Planning appointments should be held between the student and academic advisor only. See FERPA Release of Advising Information for additional information. If you cannot secure a private place to meet or adhere to the following guidelines, please reschedule your appointment for a better time.

  1. Secure a private place to meet
  2. Conduct yourself as you would in person
  3. Dress and communicate appropriately
  4. Display your full name and pronouns

Graduate Advising appointments are held in private but are not confidential. If you wish to schedule a confidential meeting with a counselor, CCA offers free Counseling Services for current students.

Additional Availability

Graduate Advising & Planning appointments outside of available hours can be scheduled on a case-by-case basis. Please email GraduateAffairs@cca.edu with your request, including multiple days and times that work for you.

Making an Appointment

Select your academic advisor's picture below to view their availability in real time and schedule an appointment. Appointments can be booked two hours in advance.

Missed Appointment Policy

Academic advisors make a concerted effort to maintain scheduled appointments. However, academic, professional, and personal obligations and/or illness may impact availability. Should we need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment, we will notify you via CCA email as soon as we can. Similarly, we ask that you notify Graduate Advising of changes to your availability as early as possible.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please follow the instructions in your appointment confirmation email. You may also notify your academic advisor directly or email GraduateAffairs@cca.edu.

Advising & Planning Appointments are in high demand. Your timely cancelation frees us up to meet with other students. Be sure to check your schedule carefully in order to avoid multiple cancellations.

Failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment without cancelation or proper notification will be marked as "MISSED." Students who miss three appointments in one semester should plan to meet with the program chair for the remainder of the semester.
