Get Out the Vote Sticker Design Contest (closed)

Last updated on Oct 04, 2022

Contest Closes October 2nd, 2022

Why a sticker contest?

The sticker is a way to let people know you are thinking about and engaged in the democratic process. It’s also a simple way to remind others of their civic duty and encourage informed conversation about voting and participating in electoral politics.

We want these stickers to reach far and wide, so we’re expanding the slogans beyond “I Voted” to represent as much of our CCA Community as possible.

All submissions will be judged by the CCA Voting Coalition and a committee of student Community Voting Organizers. The finalists will be put to vote on Instagram. Though only a handful of “I Voted,” “My Vote Counts,” and “Your Vote Impacts Me” stickers will be printed and distributed, we will feature all designs on the CCCA@CCA website after the contest closes on October 2nd.

Awesome! How do I participate?

APPLY NOW

Eligibility: CCA Community

Start by downloading this Adobe Illustrator template. All students have an Adobe subscription, so make sure you downloaded Illustrator using your CCA credentials to open the template. The Adobe Illustrator templates reflect the dimensions of the circular sticker.

It contains three statements around electoral engagement beyond voting day alone: “I Voted,” “My Vote Counts,” and “Your Vote Impacts Me.” Participants may submit their designs for any of these statements—whatever best reflects the sentiment of your work.

We encourage participation across all divisions. Collaborative work is welcome. Incorporating previous, current, or new work are all accepted.

We cannot display work containing profanity, racial slurs, explicit content, or depictions of violence or harm. We ask that content address issues, not specific political candidates.

Rights and reproduction

By submitting work, you certify that you created or have ownership of the work—including the right to distribute stock images and fonts used in your design. You grant CCA the right to use accepted work for reproduction in posters for the Creative Citizens in Action initiative and related publications, exhibitions, on its websites, and for educational noncommercial promotional purposes. Your submission to this exhibition will confirm your acceptance of your work being sized to fit the sticker.

Creative Citizens in Action at CCA (CCA@CCA) is a college-wide initiative that promotes creative activism and democratic engagement through public programs, exhibitions, and curriculum connections. This grant opportunity is funded by an endowment gift to support The Deborah and Kenneth Novack Creative Citizens Series, an annual series of public programs focused on creative activism that spans the disciplines of art, design, architecture, and writing.
