DFAS Orientations
To use the resources in the DFAS, students must take a DFAS Orientation either through a Digital Media class that has used the DFAS (such as Digital Photography, Digital Drawing/Painting, etc.) or during one of our scheduled Orientations.
Where:
DFAS Orientations are held in the Digital Fine Art Studio; 2nd Floor, Main Building - SF Campus.
When:
The orientations will take place Monday - Friday 11am & 3pm
March 13th - March 17rh
No advance reservation is required to attend. Orientations will run between 45 minutes to 1 hour in length

What:
These workshops are intended to train and prepare students on how to best utilize the equipment in the DFAS.

- Reservations Procedures/Policies
- Color Management: From Display to Printer
- Monitor Calibration
- File Types, document size, & Resolution
- Print Workflow
- Test Strip Creation/Usage
- Media Loading & Handling
- Available Media & Costs
- High Resolution Film Scanning
- High Resolution Film Scanning
Prerequisites:
Experience working on Macs in the OSX operating system and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite Applications are strongly recommended.
How Do I Sign Up?
The orientation will take place every Monday - Friday 11am & 3pm
There is no advance reservation required to attend a training workshop, if you arrive at one of the scheduled times indicated above, an orientation will occur. Please make sure you arrive as close as possible to the scheduled start time of the orientation.
If you show up after an orientation has already begun, you will not be able to attend that orientation and will have to return at another time.
