Architecture Division Events
Architecture Lecture Series
Each year, the Architecture and Interior Design programs at California College of the Arts mount an ambitious series of lectures, exhibitions, panels, and symposia featuring academic and practice leaders from around the world. These programs complement the curriculum, stimulate design research, and strengthen the program’s connection to other sites of design, practice, and scholarship in the Bay Area and across the nation. The full schedule of events can be found on the page for the Architecture Lecture Series.
Convocation is an annual gathering to recognize and celebrate the achievements of faculty and students, and to an opportunity to learn about goals and initiatives for the coming academic year. All Architecture Division students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend. The Convocation is held in the first week of the Fall semester. This event is closed to the public.
The B.Arch and Interior Design programs hold Junior Reviews during the Spring semester; the M.Arch program also holds a Mid-Program Review in the Spring. The B.Arch and M.Arch reviews are held concurrently during the first week of the Spring semester. The Interior Design review happens after Spring Break. Refer to the CCA Academic Calendar for reference.
The Architecture Division's Final Reviews are held at the end of each semester and are open to the public. You are invited to come see student work from our Core, Advanced, Integrated, and Interdisciplinary Studios in Architecture, Graduate Architecture, and Interior Design.
Interior Design Senior Showcase
CCA's Interior Design Senior Showcase is a curated selection of the graduating students' best work and is open to the public. It includes award-winning studio projects, material experiments, representational innovation, and more from the full spectrum of our courses. The Senior Showcase provides a moment of celebration for a new group of interior designers graduating into the industry and provides a forum for connection with our Interior Design community, partners, alumni and friends.
The Graduating Student Showcase is an expansive annual showcase of work by graduating students from across CCA's undergraduate and graduate programs. Architecture Division students display the best projects from their senior semesters, and additionally submit large-scale installations for consideration as well. Details can be found on the Exhibitions & Events page.
