Steps on How to Pay & Enroll in a Payment Plan
The Student Accounts billing worksheet and first Fall 2019 payment are due by August 1st. Please note that there will be a $150 first installment late fee charged to your account if you fail to pay by the deadline.
Fall 2019 tuition and fees charges will show in Workday after July 1st. Please complete a billing worksheet to calculate your payment due.
STEP 1: Complete and submit a Student Billing Worksheet to calculate payment due to CCA.
- The worksheet is an auto-calculate, fillable PDF form that students use to list tuition, fees, housing and financial aid. The billing worksheet will help you calculate your payment or refund due and set up a payment plan.
- We strongly recommend that you fill out the form using a computer.
- Download the worksheet. To preserve specific auto-calculation within the form, be sure to download the PDF and open using Adobe Reader or Acrobat. Viewing the form within your browser is not recommended.
- If you receive financial aid, you need a copy of your Financial Aid Award letter to deduct aid from your total fees. You can obtain the award letter online through Workday.
- If you’ve paid a tuition deposit, housing application fee and damage deposit, please list your total payments in the ‘Subtract deposits made.’
- Please keep a copy of your Student Billing Worksheet for payment due dates and amounts. We do not mail a bill, please adhere to the deadlines listed on the billing worksheet and access your Workday - Finances. Refer to these steps to view your Account Activity.
- You can scan and e-mail the worksheet to email@example.com, mail it to Student Accounts Office or fax to 510.594.3760 or 415.551.9261.
STEP 2: If you have your own insurance, and wish to waive CCA's, you must submit an online waiver application.
- All students who are registered at 12 units or more per term (9 units per term for all graduate students) are charged CCA's health insurance upon registration. You can opt out of the CCA insurance by submitting an online waiver.
- The Fall 2019 online waiver is due on September 10, 2019. We strongly recommend that you submit the waiver as soon as possible.
- If you fail to submit the online waiver by the deadline, you are responsible for paying the Fall 2019 insurance fee. Simply checking the 'Waive Insurance Fee' check box on your Student Accounts billing worksheet does not constitute a health insurance waiver. Please refer to the online waiver instructions.
- You will continue to see the insurance fee charged to your student account even if you have submitted an approved waiver. This fee will be reversed after September 10th (waiver deadline). If your waiver is approved and you are registered full-time, you do not need to pay the insurance fee and can subtract this from your balance due.
STEP 3: If your billing worksheet shows a payment due, pay according to your payment plan.
- View payment plans and methods for information. There is no fee or interest added to any payment plan.
- Specific payment plans will not show calculated on Workday – if paying online please refer to your billing worksheet for the payment amount. You need to override the amount to pay according to your worksheet.

STEP 4: If your billing worksheet shows that total financial aid covers the total fees, please submit the billing worksheet to Student Accounts.
- You do not have to pay out of pocket. Please make sure all loan requirements are completed and you are approved for PLUS and/or private loan by August 1st.
- If you are expecting a financial aid refund, you can sign up for direct deposit via Workday. Instructions on how to enroll will be available soon.
- If there is a Parent PLUS loan credited to a student's account, any refund will be mailed to the parent who borrowed the PLUS loan.
- View disbursement for schedule when aid funds will be directly credited to your student account to pay for tuition, fees and dorm.
Authorization to Release Student Account Information or FERPA (Optional)
- Under the provisions of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we will not disclose any billing/payment information to parents/relatives/guardian/third-party without a student-signed Authorization form, even if the person inquiring is paying the student's tuition and fees.
- Each office has a separate FERPA authorization form. Please ask the appropriate office to obtain their authorization form.
- The Authorization form does not mean that we will contact your parent if there is an unresolved issue with your student account. All billing/payment information will be e-mailed to the student's CCA email.
Completed billing worksheets, along with the appropriate payment, are due in the Student Accounts Office based on the start date of your selected payment plan. Fall semester first payments are considered late after August 1.
Spring semester first payments are considered late after December 1. Payments received after these dates and or after due dates for additional payments will incur late fees (see fee information below).
Students are responsible for the payment of deposits, tuition, and fees as well as for securing and tracking financial aid. Regardless of who is making the payments, it is the student's responsibility to understand their payment due dates and deadlines and to make all payments on time.
It is the student’s responsibility to forward billing information to a parent or third party who is assisting them with their payments.
Students can access their online billing statement in real time using the student portal after logging into Workday.
Students are responsible to review their online billing statement each month and to understand their charges, credits, and balance on the account.
Please note the Student Accounts Office sends periodic e-mails regarding payment deadlines or other important reminders to the student's cca.edu Gmail address. Students are responsible in updating their contact information and billing address on Workday.
Failure to read or receive an e-mail or mailed billing statement does not relieve students of their obligation to make timely payment.
Delinquent Student Accounts
CCA is a private, nonprofit institution that relies on tuition revenue to operate. Consequently, it is essential for students to register and pay on time. A significant portion of CCA's operating budget is allocated to scholarships that assist students' financial needs.
CCA reserves the right to withhold issuing degrees, certificates, transcripts, grade reports, or statements of recommendation to or on behalf of any student whose financial account with the college remains unpaid (full or in part).
Students with delinquent financial accounts are subject to having all registration privileges revoked, and failure to pay tuition and other charges may result in a student's removal from his or her registered courses.
Students may be dropped from registered courses if they have an outstanding balance or if their financial aid application has not been completed prior to the aforementioned deadlines, or both.
Students must be current with their payments to register during the final registration or add/drop periods for either the fall or spring term.
A first installment late fee of $150 will be charged for any first payment that is not made by the dates August 1 for fall and December 1 for spring. A monthly $50 charge is applied to subsequent late payments or unpaid balances, or both.
Students who have unpaid balances due to unsecured financial aid also incur a monthly $50 late fee.
Delinquent accounts may be referred to an outside collection agency. Students are liable for all costs and legal fees incurred in the collection process of delinquent accounts.
By enrolling in classes, students agree to authorize CCA and/or its agents, including collection agencies, to contact students in an effort to collect outstanding debt, by use of pre-recorded messages, voice messages and other calls and to records calls, and by using all forms of telecommunications, including cellular phone, and/or all forms of technology.
