About New Student Orientation & Chimera Welcome Week
Whether you are joining us directly out of high school, transferring from another college, or returning to school to pursue new goals, orientation has been intentionally designed with the artist in mind.
Your participation in both New Student Orientation & Chimera Welcome Week gives you an opportunity to learn about the campus culture, the variety of college resources and services, and meet fellow peers before classes begin.
- Orientation is an online course you do on Moodle, and it is mandatory to complete prior to your arrival for Chimera Welcome Week.
- Chimera Welcome Week (Fall) / Chimera Welcome Day (Spring) is mandatory, and ALL incoming undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students need to attend.

Please note: New Student Orientation is an online course via Moodle. Students will receive specific information about your orientation experience to your CCA email. Chimera Welcome Week / Day takes place in-person in San Francisco, on campus.
